Izzy Martinez, an Armand Larive broadcast student, submitted a video story to a national contest sponsored by the Academy of Scholastic Broadcasting out of Springfield, Missouri. Izzy won the middle school category!
The contest had a 72-hour window. She received the contest prompt, related to Veterans Day, on a Friday morning. She then interviewed a veteran and put the story together entirely on her own over a weekend.
This type of broadcasting video is very academically challenging. Izzy rose to the challenge and did so well!

Izzy Martínez, un estudiante del noticiero de Armand Larive, envió una historia en video a un concurso nacional patrocinado por la Academia de Radiodifusión Escolar de Springfield, Missouri. ¡Izzy ganó la categoría a nivel de secundaria!
El concurso tuvo un tiempo límite de 72 horas. Ella recibió el aviso del concurso, relacionado con el Día de los Veteranos, un viernes por la mañana. Luego entrevistó a un veterano y armó la historia completamente por su cuenta durante un fin de semana.
Este tipo de transmisión de video es muy desafiante académicamente. ¡Izzy estuvo a la altura del desafío y lo hizo muy bien!
